Japan is a country with a high consumption of alcoholic beverages socially. It is a way of approximation, in a country with excessively shy and reserved people. In these encounters, intimacy is exposed and sometimes even physical contact, which is something rare.
During my masters course in the country, I adhered to this to insert myself in the culture. Many of the encounter were full of sake, beer, wine and vodka. I started to collect the bottles I consumed. The result, was an installation of more than 70 glass bottles from varied beverages and moulded by heat, hung in a 50 meter clothesline, by hangers. This work won the first prize in the Grand Prix Joshibi Exhibition.
