Gargalos II was designed together with Brunno Jahara and produced by Vicara Design, Portugal.

The design is a new version of Gargalos, made from reassembled parts of the bottle, having the neck as a starting point, mixing forms and colors.

The new design is hand blown into wood moulds.

Partnership Project with the designer Brunno Jahara and the Cooperative of Residue Collectors of Varjao, Brasilia, 2017.

 

The project was born from the desire to give new meaning to discarded glass bottles, into new shape and concept.

 

The bottles, collected by the cooperative, were selected by its forms. Brown, transparent and green wine bottles.

 

The design appeared from reassembling the parts of the bottle, having the neck as a starting point, mixing forms and colours, interlayering with sand blasted pieces.

 

The cooper strip gives it a final touch.

Partnership project with the jeweller Nazareth Pinheiro, fusing both artists' techniques and materials.

 

The shapes, organic and intuitives, were projected in silver strings.

 

A segunda etapa, era inserir o vidro nos emaranhados, por meio do processo de sopro em maçarico (Lampworking). As bolhas cheias ou não, ficam inscrustradas nos fios.
